Purchase Manager

The Purchase Manager in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role involves collaborating with vendors, negotiating contracts, and working closely with internal teams to support the organization's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely availability of quality materials and services.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
• Conduct regular vendor performance assessments and address any issues to ensure continuous improvement.
• Inventory Control:
• Collaborate with inventory control and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply while maintaining cost-efficiency.
• Cost Management:
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for cost reduction in the procurement process.
• Analyze market trends and conditions to anticipate changes in pricing and availability of materials.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality control, and finance, to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and improve procurement processes.
• Compliance and Ethics:
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards and compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4-5years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of procurement software and systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).

• Ability to analyze data and market trends.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
