Purchase Manager Sheet Metal Industry

Role Overview

A Purchase Manager in the sheet metal industry oversees procurement of raw materials, vendor management, cost optimization, and ensures timely supply to support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for sheet metal and related components
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms
Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance
Ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams
Optimize procurement costs while maintaining efficiency

Candidate Requirements

Experience: 5–7 years in procurement/purchasing, preferably in sheet metal or manufacturing
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of sheet metal grades, specifications, and supply chain
ERP/Procurement software proficiency
Analytical and cost-control mindset
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Commerce/Business (depending on company preference)
