Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Procurement Planning: Evaluate and forecast purchasing needs based on inventory levels, production schedules, and operational requirements. Supplier Management: Identify and select suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain positive supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely delivery of goods/services. Cost Optimization: Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or timelines. Inventory Control: Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure stock levels meet production or operational needs, preventing overstocking or stockouts. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and company policies, including ethical and environmental standards. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, supplier communications, and inventory data. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory status. Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and procurement software. Knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement best practices. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Preferred Attributes:Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with supplier management and inventory control systems. Knowledge of local trends in the industry.
