Job Title: Senior Design Engineer Location: Nigdi, Pune Department: Engineering / R&D Reports To: Design Manager / Engineering Head Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Senior Design Engineer to lead complex product and component design projects. The role demands strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. You will be responsible for end-to-end design activities from concept to production, ensuring product performance, quality, and cost targets are met. Key Responsibilities • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo software (CAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) • Design mechanical/electrical components and assemblies considering manufacturability, cost, and performance. • Conduct tolerance analysis, FEA, and other design validations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Procurement • Support prototyping and testing activities; review and incorporate feedback. • Maintain engineering documents such as BOMs, specifications, and revision history. • Participate in design reviews and DFMEA activities. • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety guidelines. • Continuously seek design improvements for performance, cost, and efficiency • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications • Support customer interactions, technical discussions, and design change requests • Manage design timelines, resource planning, and progress tracking for assigned project • Experience in automotive product design and development. • Exposure to simulation tools (ANSYS, HyperMesh, etc.) • Knowledge of SAP/PLM systems • Understanding of ISO/IATF standards and quality system Required Skills & Qualification • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive Engineering Master’s preferred 2–5 years of experience in product or component design • Proficiency in Creo tools (e.g., CAD SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD) • Good understanding of GD&T, DFMA, and engineering materials • Familiarity with product lifecycle and design change management • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
