Job Purpose

Design new products and processes. Improving and maintaining existing products.Work is primarily achieved by an individual. Requiring application of expertise in technical areas to achieve results. Progression within classification is reflected by increasing depth of professional knowledge, and ability to influence others. Work in global environment with other engineering and manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute new Products projects and Current Products for complete aggregate and or a part of aggregate. This involves design of parts, subsystems and systems
• Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
• Expert in DFMEA, DMU, ECO creation and other design tool
• Conduct Design review with cross functional team
• Ensure design release timing, quality and cost.
• Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.
• Manage complete design release process in TC for prototype and production.
• Provide inputs to Platform on new products and Current products.
• Develop Engineering design project plan along with milestones to synchronize with main project plan for the product; Review sub-module detailed plans and suggest modifications as required
• Work with cross functional team to gather inputs and ensure that design is workable as per KPI
  

Taking role of Interface /coordinator in addition to his core responsibility as design engineer for his vertical where the PD organization can leverage his expertise over a period.

Experience Required

For Graduate engineers- 10+ years of experience in product development with minimum 5 years of experience on Compact Tractors (India, Europe, USA)For Diploma 15+ years of experience in design and developmentWorked in a cross functional environment. Preference given to candidate from Tractor Industry with experience on vehicle and structural parts.

Preferred Qualifications

Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical or Agricultural engineering
