Project & Planning Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team and drive project excellence through strategic planning, coordination, and execution.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil)
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) would be an advantage

Experience Requirements

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in planning engineering within construction/infrastructure industry
• Proven track record in project coordination and management
• Experience with project planning software and tools
• Background in budget management and financial planning

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using industry-standard software
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and construction
• Monitor project milestones and ensure adherence to planned schedules
• Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and project teams
• Prepare detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and critical path analysis

Progress Tracking & Monitoring

• Implement robust project tracking systems and methodologies
• Conduct regular progress reviews and status reporting
• Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, and risk factors
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports for management and clients
• Utilize KPIs and performance metrics to measure project success

Budget Management & Financial Planning

• Collaborate with QSE (Quantity Surveyor Engineer) for accurate cost estimation
• Develop and manage project budgets from inception to completion
• Monitor budget allocation and expenditure across project phases
• Implement cost control measures and variance analysis
• Prepare budget forecasts and financial projections

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor project cash flow requirements and optimize working capital
• Prepare cash flow projections and payment schedules
• Coordinate with finance teams for timely fund allocation
• Track receivables and payables to maintain healthy cash flow
• Implement financial controls and reporting mechanisms

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Understanding of construction methodologies and processes
• Knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
