Project Manager

Responsibilities Define project scope, estimate efforts using formal models, plan schedules with contingencies, define milestones, estimate costs, and identify risks with mitigation plans. Create and manage communication strategies for both clients and internal stakeholders. Identify required skill sets, onboard and train team members as needed. Motivate the team and manage performance through structured feedback mechanisms. Monitor progress across timelines, effort, milestones, defects, issues, and change requests using tools like Jira or Redmine. Adjust plans based on real-time project data. Provide weekly status reports and dashboards. Document key communications and meeting outcomes. Manage dependencies, handle escalations professionally, and maintain transparency to build client confidence. Conduct workshops to gather client requirements. Document functional specs, create UI prototypes, and manage scope changes via formal change request tracking. Define test strategy, plan test environments, and execute test cases (manual and automated). Document outcomes and support UAT cycles. Oversee software deployments on cloud or client-hosted environments. Monitor performance and support users through warranty and post-deployment phases. Build rapport with clients, identify future requirements, and maintain a feature backlog for continuous delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of proven project management experience in software development (team size of 10+). Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, agile methodologies, and delivery frameworks. Experience in fintech or the financial services domain is preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with director-level clients. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Redmine, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Gradle. Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Core Java, REST APIs, and microservices. Exposure to technologies such as Angular, Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Android native development. Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, or similar. Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and give/receive feedback constructively.
