Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Manager with a strong background in IT sales and pre-sales. The successful candidate will lead solution discussions, identify client needs, and collaborate with technical and delivery teams to develop automation-based proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end pre-sales process for IT automation projects.
- Collaborate with the sales team to qualify leads and define solution strategies.
- Design and present tailored automation solutions using low-code/no-code platforms.
- Prepare proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and client presentations.
- Participate in client meetings, product demos, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Keep current with industry trends, automation tools, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in IT sales and pre-sales with demonstrable involvement in automation or integration projects.
- Strong understanding of automation, SaaS solutions, integration patterns, and API-driven architectures.
- Hands-on familiarity or strong exposure to low-code/no-code and iPaaS platforms such as Make (Integromat), Zapier, n8n, Workato, Tray.io, Pipedream, Microsoft Power Automate; and familiarity with app builders like Bubble, Retool, AppSheet, Airtable is a plus.
- Technical knowledge of REST APIs, Webhooks, OAuth2/JWT, JSON/XML, data mapping, ETL concepts, and common authentication/authorization flows.
- Experience integrating common SaaS/enterprise systems: Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, ERPs and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Comfortable with basic scripting and data transformation languages (JavaScript, Python, SQL) and a strong ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Proven pre-sales skills: scoping, solution architecture, PoC/prototype development, demos, RFP/RFI responses, SOW creation, pricing, and ROI/cost-benefit analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills; able to lead technical conversations with both engineering and executive teams.
- Experience with enterprise considerations: security, compliance (GDPR, data residency), IAM, monitoring/troubleshooting, and multi-tenant SaaS concerns.
- Prior exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), version control/Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts is advantageous.
- Preferred: certifications or demonstrable projects in relevant tools/platforms and experience selling to mid-market and enterprise customers.
