Job Description

As a Project Manager (Mainframe Lead) at Barclays, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting various Barclaycard Applications such as Triumph, Debt Manager, TRACS, PEGA, Woolwich, etc. Your role will involve project delivery, incident resolution, and Disaster Recovery activities. You will focus on automating processes to minimize manual work and enhance efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Providing assistance to colleagues requiring Infrastructure support - Proactively identifying possible major incidents - Offering governance, technical authority, leadership, and direction for resolving technical issues - Acting as a subject matter expert in a key area and representing the Infrastructure Component to a wider audience - Providing direction for technology within a specialist area - Demonstrating excellent influencing skills for input into Barclays" platform strategy - Diagnosing problems using analytical skills - Demonstrating leadership and stakeholder management skills in high-pressure environments - Possessing expert knowledge of REXX, DB2, application processes, and the TWS scheduling tool Qualifications Required: - Continuously improving personal technical knowledge and acting as a Subject Matter Expert within your area - Providing expert guidance on infrastructure design solutions for team and external business partners - Motivating and inspiring others by sharing knowledge and vision of shared objectives - Resolving skills shortages within the market and prioritizing service above everything - Demonstrating risk and controls management, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills This role is based in the Barclays Chennai office.
