Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your role by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.The work model for the role is: - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy Division in India Region
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Handling projects capably under the guidance of a Project Lead Engineer, ensuring completion of engineering and commissioning activities.
- Conducting site visits, with domestic travel exceeding 70% of work time.
- Developing graphics as per P&ID requirements and creating logic based on customer documents.
- Preparing IO lists, supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and closing punch points before material dispatch.
- Conducting power-on tests, loop tests for all IOs, and functional tests as per Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures.
- Managing pre-SAT and SAT activities at customer sites, including trial runs and punch point completion.
- Coordinating with customers for site activities and ensuring compliance with ABB HSE policies.
- Providing input to the hardware team for preparing As-Built documents.
Qualifications For The Role
- You enjoy working with industrial automation in the pharma and chemicals market.
- You have 8 to 10 years of experience in industrial automation DCS commissioning in pharma and chemicals.
- You possess enhanced knowledge of 800xA.
- You are motivated by stakeholder management and team management.
You have a diploma or degree in engineering, in instrumentation or chemical engineering.
- You are comfortable communicating verbally and in writing in English.
