Qualifications Required

Educational Background

- Minimum: 12th Standard (Higher Secondary) completion

- Preferred: Diploma in relevant field (Leather Technology, Production Management, or related discipline)

Experience Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment

- Mandatory: Direct experience in leather goods manufacturing sector

- Hands-on experience in both sample section and production operations

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Section Management

- Oversee all sample development activities and prototype creation

- Coordinate with design team to ensure accurate sample production

- Manage sample approval processes and client feedback incorporation

- Maintain sample quality standards and documentation

- Handle sample costing and material estimation

- Ensure timely delivery of samples to clients/internal teams

2. Production Operations

- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities

- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders

- Coordinate with different production departments for smooth workflow

- Manage production workforce and assign daily tasks

- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and ensure safety of workers

3. Quality Assurance

- Establish and maintain quality standards throughout production process

- Conduct regular quality inspections at various production stages

- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly

- Train production staff on quality procedures and standards

- Maintain quality documentation and reports

4. Overall Quality Control (QC)

- Develop and implement comprehensive QC procedures

- Monitor finished goods quality before dispatch

- Conduct final inspection of products against specifications

- Handle customer quality complaints and implement corrective actions

- Maintain QC records and generate quality reports

- Coordinate with QC team for continuous improvement initiatives

5. Outside Job Work Quality Control

- Oversee quality standards for outsourced manufacturing work

- Conduct vendor audits and quality assessments

- Monitor third-party supplier quality performance

- Establish quality agreements with external vendors

- Handle quality issues with outsourced work and implement solutions

6. Computer Operations & Documentation

- Utilize computer systems for production planning and tracking

- Maintain digital records of production data and quality metrics

- Generate reports using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Handle email communication with clients and internal teams

- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
