Qualification

• B.Tech (Mechanical) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / CPET Diploma

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of continuous experience in a similar role


• Preference will be given to candidates from the Automotive Industry

Role Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production operations on the shop floor. This role involves planning, coordinating manpower and resources, monitoring daily production performance, solving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure production processes run reliably, safely, and efficiently on a day-to-day basis


• Plan, execute, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules


• Manage 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) effectively to achieve production targets


• Monitor planned vs achieved production and take corrective actions where required


• Analyze rejection data daily and implement actions to reduce rejection percentage


• Handle shop-floor issues such as machine breakdowns, process deviations, and material shortages


• Prepare and maintain production reports including MIS, OEE, scrap ratio, and defect analysis


• Drive improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke


• Coordinate with PPC for manpower planning and production requirements


• Train workmen regularly to improve productivity and process understanding


• Ensure safety standards and 5S practices are followed strictly on the shop floor

• Zero Rework: Rework cost to be maintained below 5%


• Manpower Planning: Schedule vs Operator Rate 95%


• Data Accuracy: Hourly and daily data accuracy 95%


• Tool & Machinery Efficiency: Zero accident policy


• Production Adherence: Plan vs Actual Production 98%

Daily / Periodic Tasks & Activities

• Attend daily morning meetings with plant personnel


• Deploy manpower daily as per production planning


• Prepare and update hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly production plans


• Monitor production output and rejection data continuously


• Troubleshoot injection and rubber moulding process issues


• Set and control process parameters for injection and rubber moulding machines


• Plan mould loading and unloading activities


• Maintain 4M change records


• Prepare production MIS and OEE reports


• Support new part trials and ensure process control
