We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to oversee production operations and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient workflow across shifts.

Role Overview

The Shift Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end shift operations, leading production teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment uptime, and achieving production targets. Candidates with experience in foam, mattress, or related manufacturing industries will be strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Shift Management

• Oversee daily production activities across the assigned shift to ensure output meets quality and efficiency targets.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor manpower, machines, and materials to meet production schedules.
• Ensure timely startup and shutdown of operations and adherence to shift timelines.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all products manufactured meet Flo Mattress quality specifications.
• Conduct in-shift quality checks and coordinate with the Quality team for corrective actions.
• Enforce compliance with company SOPs, safety guidelines, and statutory regulations.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, guide, and motivate shift operators, technicians, and helpers.
• Conduct on-the-job training to improve productivity and minimize errors.
• Resolve shift-level issues and maintain a disciplined, efficient workforce.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime.
• Report machine breakdowns promptly and support basic troubleshooting when required.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed during shifts.

Inventory & Material Handling

• Monitor raw material usage, foam formulations (if applicable), and WIP movement.
• Maintain accurate shift-wise material consumption and production records.
• Coordinate with the warehouse for timely material availability.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit shift reports covering production volumes, downtime, scrap, manpower, and incidents.
• Maintain accurate records as per ISO and internal audit requirements.

Key Requirements

• Education: Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related discipline (preferred).
• Experience: 5–8+ years of shift management experience in foam, mattress, furniture, or related manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of foam cutting, lamination, mattress assembly, quilting, packing, and related operations.
• Ability to lead a team and manage shift processes efficiently.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or production improvement initiatives is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
