Job Description

Job Title: Production Officer Location: Vizag Industry: Chemical Industry (Mandatory) CTC: ₹5 LPA – ₹7.5 LPA Education: Graduate (Any Discipline) Experience: Relevant experience in chemical manufacturing/processing plants preferred Job Purpose: The Production Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily manufacturing operations at the Vizag plant. The role requires ensuring quality, safety, inventory control, and efficient production processes in compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Key Responsibilities :Production & Planning Prepare and execute production plans based on marketing priorities and demand forecasts. Generate daily production reports and ensure timely reporting of productivity data. Update production entries and batch bookings in SAP. Quality & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to all quality parameters and documentation protocols. Maintain and validate log sheets, checklists, PRI, QRI, and area line clearance forms. Implement BBS (Behavior-Based Safety) culture and EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) systems. Comply with GPCB norms and other statutory regulations. Inventory & Material Management Plan raw material (RM), consumables, and SATO label requirements; manage indenting and handling. Oversee FG store operations including FIFO, inventory control, and minimize non-moving stock. Conduct monthly stock-taking for PV audit and report submissions. Process Improvement & Maintenance Coordinate with the engineering team for breakdowns and maintenance scheduling; log in SAP. Drive process improvements including yield enhancement, cycle time reduction, and variable manpower optimization. Monitor and reduce hazardous and non-hazardous waste. People & Training Supervise contract manpower allocation, training, performance, and retention. Conduct regular operator training sessions. Manage manpower based on layout and production requirements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records related to ETP, STP, DM water, and QA reports for water samples. Prepare and circulate monthly MIS reports by the 2nd of every month. Ensure audit compliance with 100% closure of findings. Risk Management & Safety Identify high-risk activities and develop mitigation plans. Ensure zero reportable accidents and timely issue of work permits. Perform RCA/Why-Why analysis for complaints and incidents. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong experience in chemical plant operations and process handling. Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and production planning tools. Good understanding of EHS, GPCB compliance, and BBS systems. Excellent communication, coordination, and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure and lead cross-functional initiatives. Preferred Industry Experience: Candidates must be from the Chemical Industry. Experience in batch manufacturing, hazardous waste handling, and compliance-oriented production environments is highly desirable.
