Product Quality Analyst

to join our dynamic product and engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with API and manual testing, and a passion for improving product reliability and user experience. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to validate features, uncover defects early, and ensure seamless product delivery across releases.

Role Overview

As a Product Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating application functionality, performing structured manual testing, and ensuring that new features meet business expectations. You will actively participate in requirement discussions, test execution, defect management, and continuous quality improvements across the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution

Analyze business requirements and convert them into clear test plans, scenarios, and test cases.Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing across multiple product modules.Execute structured test cycles to validate releases, enhancements, and bug fixes.

API & Integration Validation

Conduct API validation using tools such as Postman or Swagger.Review and verify response structures, parameters, status codes, and performance.Work with engineering teams to ensure API design aligns with functional and technical expectations.

Defect Reporting & Tracking

Log, track, and resolve reported issues using Jira or similar tools.Provide clear reproduction steps and impact assessments to support engineering teams.Monitor test progress and deliver comprehensive test execution reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to define acceptance criteria and understand functionality.Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives in an Agile development environment.Act as a quality champion by identifying gaps and promoting best practices.

Continuous Improvement

Recommend enhancements to testing processes and workflow efficiency.Explore automation opportunities and support basic automation tasks where applicable.Stay informed about testing methodologies and emerging QA tools.

Required Qualifications

1–4 years of professional experience in software testing or product validation.Strong manual testing expertise with excellent attention to detail.Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.Experience with Jira or similar test/defect management platforms.Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum frameworks.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Basic understanding of automation frameworks or scripting fundamentals.Exposure to SQL or database queries for backend validation.Familiarity with performance testing concepts or tools.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
