Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define the long-term product vision for the mobile keyboard experience, including AI-powered text suggestions, predictive typing, voice input, autocorrect, emojis/ GIFs, and personalization features.
• Identify market gaps, user needs, and emerging trends in mobile input methods.
• Prioritize features using data, user research, and business objectives.

Roadmap & Execution

• Create detailed product specifications, user flows, and edge cases for iOS and Android keyboard functionality.
• Collaborate closely with engineering on architecture trade-offs related to

  low-latency input, memory footprint, language models, privacy, and OS-level constraints

  .
• Work with designers to craft a world-class UX with strong emphasis on typing speed, accessibility, and accuracy.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles to ensure timely delivery.

User Research & Analytics

• Conduct usability studies, A/B tests, and competitive analyses to optimize typing efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Define KPIs such as typing speed improvements, suggestion accuracy, retention, crash rate, latency, and user engagement.
• Implement a feedback loop using in-app analytics, user interviews, and telemetry to continuously improve the product.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with ML teams to integrate language models, generative AI suggestions, personalization engines, and multilingual support.
• Ensure engineering, QA, design, and data teams are aligned on goals and milestones.
• Work with marketing and growth teams on go-to-market, positioning, and rollout plans.

Compliance, Security & Privacy

• Ensure the keyboard app meets strict privacy standards, including

  no unauthorized data collection

  , opt-in personalization, and transparent data practices.
• Collaborate with legal and security teams to ensure compliance with

  OS policies (Apple/Google), GDPR, and other app-store guidelines

  .

Qualifications

Required

• 3–7 years of product management experience in mobile apps or consumer tech.
• Strong understanding of iOS/Android development constraints and system architecture.
• Experience building UX-heavy, high-frequency consumer products.
• Ability to write clear PRDs, define detailed feature requirements, and map edge cases.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Prior experience working on

  keyboard apps, messaging apps, AI writing tools, or system-level utilities

  .
• Familiarity with

  NLP, LLMs, predictive text, and on-device ML

  .
• Understanding of accessibility standards (multi-language support, voice typing, haptics).
• Technical background (CS degree or equivalent experience).
