This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes financial news, with a specific interest in tracking US markets, Federal Reserve developments, and global business trends. The ideal candidate must be quick, accurate, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced digital newsroom. Key Responsibilities: Track and report on US markets, Fed decisions, and global business developments in real-time. Write 8–10 crisp, engaging news copies per shift for LiveMint.com, with a strong emphasis on clarity and accuracy. Run and contribute to live blogs during key market events, earnings calls, and economic announcements. Ensure stories are SEO-optimized and aligned with digital content best practices. Collaborate with editors and fellow reporters to maintain the pace and quality of coverage during the evening hours. Requirements: 5-7 years of experience in digital journalism or financial news reporting. Strong understanding of US financial markets , monetary policy, and global economic indicators. Proven experience in handling live blogs and real-time news updates. Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to produce high-quality content quickly. Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to apply them in a newsroom setting. Comfortable working independently during off-peak hours with minimal supervision.
