The Product Head is responsible for overseeing the procurement of high-quality materials and ensuring that all products of Aquaneeta Industries meet industry standards and customer expectations. This role involves vendor management, quality assurance, product planning, cost optimization, and coordination with production, sales, and logistics teams to deliver reliable products to the market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product & Procurement Strategy
Develop and implement product procurement strategies to ensure timely sourcing of high-quality raw materials and finished goods.
Identify reliable vendors/suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
Evaluate market trends and pricing to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.
2. Quality Assurance & Standards
Define product quality standards in alignment with company and industry requirements.
Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure each batch of materials and products meets the set standards.
Conduct periodic audits of suppliers and factories to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ethical norms.
3. Product Lifecycle & Development
Plan product requirements based on sales forecasts, market demand, customer feedback, and inventory levels.
Facilitate development of improved or new products by coordinating with R&D/production teams.
Monitor performance of existing products and recommend improvements or replacements.
4. Vendor & Supplier Management
Conduct supplier evaluations based on quality, delivery timelines, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Resolve supply chain issues, delays, or quality disputes with vendors in a timely manner.
Ensure proper documentation, purchase orders, and agreements are maintained.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand market requirements and customer preferences.
Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply and timely delivery.
Share product updates, procurement plans, and performance report with top management.
6. Cost Control & Inventory Management
Monitor purchase budgets, pricing, logistics costs, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
Evaluate cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in ECE, EEE, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (MBA preferred).
3+ years of experience in procurement, product management, or supply chain in manufacturing/industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of vendor development, material quality standards, and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement documentation
