About the job

Product Designer (Contract)

What you will do

Own the end-to-end user journey

• Lead the design process from discovery and research to wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.
• 
  
• Conduct user research and interviews with freight accounting teams to uncover needs and validate assumptions.

Create scalable design systems

• Develop modular, accessible, and scalable design systems to ensure consistency across the product.
• 
  
• Define visual language, typography, color, and component standards.

Work cross-functionally

• Partner with product managers and engineers to align user experience goals with technical feasibility and business needs.
• 
  
• Translate complex freight-finance workflows into intuitive, human-centered experiences.

Leverage data & feedback

• Use analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Hotjar, Amplitude) alongside qualitative feedback to inform design decisions.
• 
  
• Run usability testing and rapid iterations to refine concepts.

Communicate & inspire

• Present design concepts, flows, and prototypes to stakeholders and customers.
• 
  
• Advocate for a user-first approach across the organization.

(Optional) If writing and storytelling excite you, share product learnings and design insights externally through blog posts or social channels.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years

  of experience designing UX/UI for B2B SaaS or enterprise-grade products (startup experience a plus).
• 
  
• A portfolio that demonstrates

  end-to-end design thinking

  —from discovery to launch.
• 
  
• Mastery of

  Figma

  (primary), with knowledge of tools like Framer, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• 
  
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
• 
  
• Strong grasp of

  usability, accessibility, and responsive design

  across web and mobile.
• 
  
• Track record of building and maintaining scalable

  design systems and component libraries

• Strong communication and storytelling skills—you can justify design decisions with logic, empathy, and evidence.
