Role Summary

Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Vendor Development:

  Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for industrial equipment, piping, valves, pressure vessels, and related mechanical components.

• Procurement Execution:

  Handle end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, negotiations, purchase orders, and follow-ups for timely deliveries.

• Technical Evaluation:

  Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure procured materials and equipment meet technical specifications and industry standards.

• Cost & Contract Management:

  Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost savings without compromising on quality or timelines.

• Compliance & Documentation:

  Ensure adherence to applicable engineering standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) and import/export regulations when required.

• Supplier Relationship Management:

  Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term strategic procurement.

• Project Support:

  Assist in tracking procurement milestones for plant projects and coordinate with logistics teams for smooth deliveries.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Mechanical Engineering

  (preferred) or related field.

• 2–3 years of procurement experience

  in industrial equipment, preferably in energy, process, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industrial standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
