With green hydrogen plants across India, we specialize in scalable and cost-effective hydrogen production, driving the transition towards cleaner energy. Role Summary We are seeking a motivated Procurement Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in industrial procurement, preferably with a background in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring industrial equipment and components critical to our green hydrogen plants. You will collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and project teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement aligned with Ossus Biorenewables’ operational goals. Key Responsibilities Sourcing & Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for industrial equipment, piping, valves, pressure vessels, and related mechanical components. Procurement Execution: Handle end-to-end procurement activities, including RFQs, negotiations, purchase orders, and follow-ups for timely deliveries. Technical Evaluation: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure procured materials and equipment meet technical specifications and industry standards. Cost & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost savings without compromising on quality or timelines. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to applicable engineering standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) and import/export regulations when required. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term strategic procurement. Project Support: Assist in tracking procurement milestones for plant projects and coordinate with logistics teams for smooth deliveries. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field. 2–3 years of procurement experience in industrial equipment, preferably in energy, process, or manufacturing industries. Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization. Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industrial standards. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
