Procurement Engineer

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source and procure pump components, including castings, impellers, shafts, seals, motors, and fasteners.
2. Assess and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance.
3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
4. Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure adherence to material specifications.
5. Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
6. Track and expedite deliveries to align with production timelines.
7. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for compliance and audits.
8. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and explore cost-saving opportunities.
9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procurement policies.
10. Verify and process supplier invoices promptly, escalating delays when necessary.

Core Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and experience with vendor audits.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience in managing imports and logistics.
• Solid technical understanding of engineering components.
• Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
