Goodwork is recruiting for a Canadian apparel design and manufacturing company.
We're a leading Canadian souvenir apparel manufacturer, established in 1986 and operating from our newly upgraded facility in the Toronto area. Our mission: creating authentic Canadian apparel that captures the spirit of landmarks and culture while delivering exceptional value to clients nationwide.
We produce t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, socks, backpacks, and hard goods using screen printing, digital printing, embroidery, and appliquΓ©. Our facility handles orders from 49 to 10,000 units with automatic screen printers, heat press units, and multi-head embroidery machinesβdesigning and producing locally while sourcing materials globally.
We serve over 400 Canadian businesses, from major corporations to local souvenir shops. Our clients include the CN Tower, Niagara Parks Commission, airport Duty-Free stores, WestJet Airlines, Fairmont Hotels, and Marshalls. Anywhere you see "Canadiana" souvenirs or clothingβthat's typically us.
In recent years, we've delivered strong performance with significant sales growth, expanded product lines, and team growth. We've earned industry recognition with Toronto Gift Fair awards, establishing our leadership in authentic Canadian souvenir apparel.
We're a team of 21 (soon to be 22 ππΎ), operating from a single facility outside Toronto (Canada). Weβre a hybrid workplace, with some teammates working remotely for part of the work week, and some working fully remote from Canada and Pakistan.
At our core, we operate on a philosophy of internal focus and a strong system of values that guide our actions and decisions. We believe in taking care of our people because when they feel supported, they excel at everything else. Our environment is designed to make everyone feel comfortable and valued, with fairness and data driving our operations.
In this role, you'll bridge creative design and technical production, processing 50+ pre-press files daily while creating bold, memorable designs for Canadian souvenir apparel. You'll work independently while collaborating with the team, balancing beautiful design with printable files that work flawlessly on garments, developing graphics that capture attention and authentically represent Canadian landmarks and culture.
This is fundamentally a high-volume production role with creative elements β you'll embrace the technical work that forms our business backbone while contributing to our AI-driven process of generating massive design output to select the best 20-40% for 2-day execution. Beyond daily production, you'll elevate our art department through technical troubleshooting, process improvements, and design leadership that helps expand our creative capabilities.
Your performance will be measured by task completion speed (tracked for 2-day turnaround SLAs), production accuracy, response time, initiative, energy level, design quality, and ability to elevate team capabilities.
You'll join our Art department alongside 2 Production Designers (one specializing in pre-press, the other in design and presentations with overflow pre-press support). Youβll collaborate with our Sales team. This position reports directly to our Head of Art (who has 30 years of industry experience).
Youβll be doing things like:
