*JOB DESCRIPTION – PRINCIPAL*

Reporting To: Higher Principal / School Management
1. Position Summary
The Principal of Bohras Global School, Mahwa will serve as the chief academic, administrative, and developmental leader of the school. The role demands a visionary educator who can uphold CBSE norms, drive academic excellence, maintain strong discipline, and nurture a culture of holistic learning. The Principal will work closely with the Higher Principal and School Management to ensure that the institution functions smoothly, achieves strategic goals, and delivers high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Academic Excellence & Curriculum Leadership
* Ensure the effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum, circulars, examination frameworks, and assessment procedures.
* Supervise lesson planning, classroom delivery, period allocation, and academic performance across all grades.
* Promote research-based teaching methods, blended learning, activity-based learning, and experiential pedagogy.
* Conduct academic reviews, classroom observations, and teacher evaluations to maintain high standards.
* Ensure timely completion of syllabus, transparent assessment practices, and academic quality audits.
B. Administrative & Operational Management
* Lead the overall administration of the school including academic operations, HR, logistics, discipline, and infrastructure.
* Maintain and update all statutory records, CBSE affiliation-related documentation, compliance reports, and internal audits.
* Oversee school facilities, safety measures, hygiene, transport, labs, library, ICT rooms, and co-curricular spaces.
* Prepare and implement school policies related to attendance, discipline, academic regulations, safety, and child protection.
* Coordinate with management regarding budgeting, resource allocation, procurement, and long-term planning.
C. Staff Supervision, Development & Welfare
* Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified teaching and non-teaching staff in collaboration with management.
* Provide continuous mentoring, appraisal, and professional development opportunities for staff.
* Conduct regular meetings, workshops, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
* Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative working environment.
* Encourage innovation, teamwork, and teacher-led initiatives to enhance school outcomes.
D. Student Development, Safety & Well-being
* Promote holistic student development, including academics, sports, arts, cultural activities, value education, and life skills.
* Ensure implementation of child-friendly, inclusive practices as per CBSE and national guidelines.
* Monitor student discipline through fair, transparent, and constructive measures.
* Oversee career guidance, counselling services, student clubs, leadership programs, and special needs support.
* Maintain a safe and nurturing campus with focus on mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students.
E. Parent Relations & Community Engagement
* Build strong communication channels between the school and parents through PTMs, feedback sessions, newsletters, and digital apps.
* Address parent concerns with empathy, professionalism, and timely resolution.
* Represent the school in community programs, education fairs, CSR events, and public forums.
* Establish partnerships with local authorities, educational institutions, and training organizations to enrich learning experiences.
F. Strategic Planning & School Growth
* Contribute to the school’s long-term strategic vision involving academic advancements, infrastructure development, and brand enhancement.
* Implement initiatives that improve school reputation, student enrollment, and overall performance.
* Monitor academic data, school performance indicators, and improvement plans.
* Collaborate with management for new projects, CBSE inspection readiness, and expansion strategies.
3. Qualifications & Experience
* Master’s Degree in any discipline; M.Ed / MA (Education) preferred.
* B.Ed mandatory as per CBSE norms.
* Minimum 8–15 years of teaching and administrative experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
* Strong familiarity with CBSE rules, Affiliation/Upgradation procedures, NEP 2020 guidelines, and school quality standards.
