About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team at Recro, based in Bangalore (Marathahalli - Hybrid). In this senior technical role, you will lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications, ensuring high quality, performance, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects utilizing Java, React, SQL, and AWS, making a significant impact on our product offerings and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 13+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in enterprise application design and implementation. Proficiency in Java (J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices) and React is essential. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in developing scalable solutions, debugging complex issues, and working within Agile and Scrum frameworks. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Additional experience with PHP, AWS cloud environments, and familiarity with the EdTech industry will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces utilizing React.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization.
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and maintainable in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and impact on end-users.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
