Job Description

Designation - Power Systems-Design & Engineering Experience – 9+ years Location – Pune Degree – BE/BTech – Electrical Industry – Power Job role : •Lead design & development of HV/MV/LV (220/66/33/11kV) Power Electrical systems from concept to production (In-house/outsourced). •Formulate System requirements for Transformers, Switch yards, Converters/rectifiers, control systems •Design & development of Power distribution network within boundaries of GF plant. •Application of relevant reference standards for all in-house & outsourced systems e.g., IEC/IEEE/UL/CE/Grid Codes •Create and review single Line Diagrams and or Orthographic Diagrams for systems & sub-systems •Create & review requirements for Software, SCADA system •Guide/mentor Simulation team to review the results obtained from various campaigns & design data •Device operational safety & safety risk assessment of Power systems •Create design requirement document Develop concept design and BOQ for techno-economic analysis •Design and detailed Engineering of Electrical substation and transmission line, power distribution network including AC and DC. •Electrical system study -Load flow study, power consumption, insulation coordination, protection & Automation system, communication system, power quality measurement, wind & solar park generator grid inter connection etc. •Design calculations, Electrical component selection & sizing calculation for transmission line, substation and AC /DC distribution system •Intime Technical support service to Project, OMS, SCM and marketing •Understand & apply Statutory and regulatory requirements and design approval from utilities and customers. •Conduct & review Fatigue Analysis of Electrical Components. • Explore power electronics hardware and software to enable efficient power conversion from renewable sources to electrolyzes. • Optimizing power conversion in the distribution system between the renewable source and Electrolyzer. • Develop new electrical architectures to enable efficient and balanced coupling between renewable sources and electrolyzes. • Developing cost reduction pathways for power conversion based on deep technical understanding and competitive intelligence from major Original Equipment Manufacturers. • Application of National Grid Codes and compliance verification process with Transmission System Operator and Distribution System Operator. • Technology development for powering GW scale electrolysis. • Ability to perform front-end engineering studies covering the following aspects of electrical system design: HV Cable sizing calculations • Reactive power simulation • (Steady state) load flow simulations • Short circuit current simulation • Insulation coordination • Control and protection study • EM-field and Influence study Show more Show less
