IMI Bhubaneswar invites applications for the following Teaching & Non-Teaching Positions:

  • Faculty Position – Information Management & Analytics

Responsibilities:

Teaching:

  • Develop and teach undergraduate, graduate (MBA/PhD), and/or executive-level courses in one or more of the following areas:
  • Engage students with innovative pedagogical approaches, including case studies, simulations, experiential learning, and technology integration.
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development.

Research:

  • Conduct high-quality, impactful research in your area of specialization.
  • Publish regularly in leading peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects that contribute to the institution’s thought leadership.
  • Present research findings at academic and industry conferences.

Service:

  • Contribute to the governance and administration of the department, institute, and the broader academic community.
  • Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, and other institutional activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and contribute to executive education programs.

Qualifications:

  • PhD with a strong track record of high-impact research publications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Leadership experience in academic program initiatives, industry collaborations, or research centers is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach across multiple disciplines (e.g., blending strategy with analytics or HR with information management).
  • Experience with online or hybrid course delivery.
  • Proven ability to secure external funding for research.
  • Strong connections to industry and the potential to foster partnerships that benefit students and the institution.


  • Non-Teaching –

    Senior Manager – IT

     

Responsibilities:

maintenance, and security of all IT infrastructure and systems across the educational

institution. This includes overseeing both academic and administrative technology platforms,

ensuring smooth IT operations, and leading digital transformation initiatives to enhance

learning and operational efficiency.

Key KPIs:

• Develop and implement the institution’s IT strategy in alignment with academic and

administrative goals.

• Manage and maintain core IT infrastructure including servers, networks, data centres, and

cloud services, firewalls, security protocols.

• Oversee the implementation, integration, and maintenance of ERP systems, LMS

platforms, and student information systems with ensuring data security, backup, disaster

recovery, and compliance with IT policies and legal regulations.

• Lead and mentor the IT team, providing technical guidance and performance management.

• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand technology

needs and deliver customized solutions.

• Plan and manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, procurement, and licensing.

• Drive innovation in teaching and learning technologies, including smart classrooms and

virtual learning environments.

• Ensure timely training and support for faculty, staff, and students on IT tools and systems.

Eligibility:

• Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a

related field. Certifications like ITIL, PMP, Cisco, or Microsoft are preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 3–5 years in a

leadership role, preferably in an educational or enterprise environment.

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, data management, and cloud

computing.

• CCNA / CCNP / RHCP / RACE or any other relevant certifications.

Additional Performance Indicators:

• Adherence to data security standards and zero incidents of data breaches.

• Timely and successful completion of IT projects within budget.

• Optimal use of IT budgets with clear ROI on technology investments.

• Growth, engagement, and retention of IT staff.
