About the Role
We are building one of India’s most advanced 3.08 GW TopCon solar cell manufacturing facilities, and we’re looking for a visionary Plant/Project Head to lead the journey from greenfield execution to global market leadership. This is a CXO-level, high-impact role with full accountability for project delivery, plant operations, P&L performance, and long-term competitiveness.
The right leader will bring a unique mix of strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep domain expertise in high-tech, process-driven manufacturing. You will own the execution roadmap, build world-class teams, drive innovation, and position the facility as a benchmark for solar manufacturing globally.
What You’ll Drive
Greenfield Leadership: Oversee the complete design, construction, commissioning, and ramp-up of a multi-GW solar cell facility.
Operational Excellence: Achieve global benchmarks in OEE, yield, cost-per-watt, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
Financial Stewardship: Full P&L ownership, with sharp focus on profitability, cost optimization, capital efficiency, and investor reporting.
Technology & Innovation: Lead adoption of cutting-edge solar technologies (TopCon and beyond), inline metrology, advanced automation, and NPI initiatives.
People & Culture: Build and mentor cross-functional teams (Production, SCM, R&D, Quality, HR, Finance, EHS), instilling a culture of performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Governance & Risk: Implement strong governance frameworks, compliance systems, and risk mitigation strategies across operations and finance.
Market Growth: Expand domestic and international market footprint through partnerships, business development, and strategic alliances.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver greenfield execution on time, within budget, and at defined quality standards.
Drive sustainable ramp-to-rate, hitting production and financial milestones.
Embed Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies across plant operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and EHS standards.
Lead technology partnerships with OEMs, research institutes, and global innovation leaders.
Represent the organization with investors, government bodies, and global stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
20+ years in high-tech, large-scale, process-driven manufacturing (solar, semiconductors, advanced materials, or electronics).
Minimum 5+ years of recent experience in solar cell manufacturing or adjacent industries (semiconductor/wafer/advanced materials).
Proven track record of delivering ₹1,000 Cr+ greenfield or large-scale expansion projects.
Strong background in scaling operations from commissioning to multi-GW capacity.
Education
B.Tech / M.Tech in Engineering or Technology.
MBA preferred but not mandatory.
Skills & Attributes
Strategic leadership with hands-on execution mindset.
Deep expertise in MES, inline metrology, factory automation, and smart manufacturing systems.
Strong grasp of Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
Exceptional financial acumen and P&L ownership experience.
Excellent stakeholder management, investor relations, and board-level reporting.
