Plant Operation and Toolroom – Sheet Metal & Hinges Manufacturing

The Plant Operation and Toolroom Head will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all manufacturing processes in a sheet metal-based hinges manufacturing unit. The role requires expertise in Sheet Metal Fabrication, MS & SS Plating/Finishing, and Assembly Processes to ensure high-quality output, optimum resource utilization, and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day production activities across sheet metal fabrication, plating, and assembly areas.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Supervise and manage teams across machining, stamping, bending, plating, welding, and finishing operations related to hinges manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tooling teams for smooth operations.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques, process optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Monitor and control raw material consumption, plating quality (MS & SS), and minimize rework/rejections.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machinery, tools, and plating lines.
• Train and develop shop-floor staff for skill enhancement.
• Prepare and present reports on production output, efficiency, downtime, and quality issues.

Required Qualification & Experience:

• 8–12 years’ experience in Plant Operation and Toolroom with strong exposure to:
• Sheet Metal Fabrication (press, laser cutting, stamping, bending, welding, etc.)
• Plating processes (MS & SS)
• Hardware / Hinges / Precision Components manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in meeting production targets, quality requirements, and cost controls.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and ISO processes.
• Experience in leading teams of operators, supervisors, and technicians.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
