Job Title: Plant Head – Agro/Food Processing Industry

Location: Kandla, Gujarat

Job Description:

We are hiring a Plant Head for our agro-processing unit in Kandla, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the factory operations across Production, Packaging, Warehouse, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Compliance. Prior experience in commodity handling and grading operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of production, packaging, warehouse, dispatch, and support departments.
Execute production schedules to achieve targets of 3000+ MTS/month.Optimize plant processes for efficiency, cost savings, and output quality.Ensure product grading, sorting, and packaging meet client and regulatory standards.Implement and monitor quality control, safety, and compliance systems.Develop SOPs and workflows that maximize operational output and minimize downtime.Coordinate dispatch and logistics, ensuring timely shipment of finished goods.Maintain strong internal coordination with procurement, QA, maintenance, and HR.Ensure adherence to all legal, environmental, and company compliance protocols.Manage manpower planning, training, and labor relations within the factory.Monitor production costs and implement strategies for cost control and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
MBA in Operations or Industrial Management is a plus.Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in a factory or plant environment, preferably in the agro or food processing industry.Proven ability to lead multi-departmental factory operations.Strong knowledge of commodity processing, grading systems, and packaging methods.Familiarity with dispatch logistics, inventory, and warehouse controls.Experience handling large-scale production volumes (3000 MTS/month or more).Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and reporting tools.Fluent in English and Hindi.

Desired Candidate Background:*

Worked in agro-commodity companies (e.g., pulses, grains, oilseeds, spices).

Familiar with companies in or around Gandhidham/Kandla region.

Experience in managing factory audits, compliance, and third-party inspections.

Previously handled dispatch coordination with shipping or logistics companies near port areas.
