Job Overview You are an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer Construction responsible for ensuring efficient project execution through effective planning, scheduling, coordination, and cost control. Collaboration with project, site, procurement, and finance teams is essential to deliver construction projects on time and within budget. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering - Project management certifications (PMP / PRINCE2 / CAPM) would be an advantage Experience - 4-6 years of experience in planning and scheduling roles within construction or infrastructure projects - Hands-on exposure to project planning, coordination, and monitoring - Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools - Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking Key Responsibilities - Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and execution plans - Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and perform critical path analysis - Coordinate activities with engineering, procurement, and site teams - Ensure timely achievement of milestones - Monitor actual progress against planned schedules - Identify delays, risks, and implement corrective actions - Prepare progress reports and dashboards for management - Track project performance using KPIs and metrics - Coordinate with Quantity Surveyor Engineer (QSE) for cost estimates and budgets - Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures - Conduct variance analysis and support budget forecasting - Prepare and track project cash flow statements - Coordinate with finance teams for fund allocation - Support financial controls and reporting systems Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills - Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar tools - Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Understanding of construction methods, contracts, and procurement processes - Knowledge of industry standards, compliance, and safety regulations Analytical & Interpersonal Skills - Strong problem-solving abilities - Effective risk identification and mitigation skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities - Collaborative work approach to support team performance Preferred Skills - Project management certification (PMP / PRINCE2 / CAPM) - Experience with digital project management platforms - Knowledge of sustainable construction and green building practices - Exposure to residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects Job Overview You are an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer Construction responsible for ensuring efficient project execution through effective planning, scheduling, coordination, and cost control.
