Role Description

1.Position Overview :-

The Placement Officer at Sandip University’s School of Commerce and Management will lead campus placement, internship, and industry interface initiatives. The role demands an experienced professional with a proven track record in reputed management institutes, establishing strong corporate linkages, and ensuring excellent career outcomes for MBA, BBA, and Commerce students.

2.Key Responsibilities :-

A. Placement & Internship Coordination

- Plan and execute campus placement and internship drives.

- Build relationships with corporates, industry bodies, HR associations,

and alumni.

- Identify new sectors and companies for recruitment.

- Coordinate pre-placement talks, tests, GDs, and interviews.

- Ensure internship placements align with academic and industry needs.

B. Industry Connect & Branding

- Organize guest lectures, HR conclaves, CEO talks, industrial visits,

and workshops.

- Represent the University at corporate and HR events.

- Develop placement brochures and digital branding campaigns.

C. Student Development & Grooming

- Conduct employability enhancement sessions (resume building,

mock interviews, soft skills, personality development).

- Mentor students on job readiness and career planning.

- Track placement and internship outcomes.

D. Data Management & Reporting

- Maintain recruiter and placement databases.

- Prepare placement reports for University and accreditation bodies.

- Ensure transparency and compliance in the process.

3.Desired Candidate Profile

- Education: Master’s Degree in Management (MBA/PGDM).

- Experience: 5–10 years in placement or corporate relations.

- Strong corporate network in BFSI, Consulting, Manufacturing, FMCG, IT,

and Startup sectors.

- Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and digital tools.

4.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Placement percentage (final and internship).

- New recruiters onboarded.

- Industry-academia events organized.

- Student satisfaction ratings.

- Growth in average package and recruiter retention.
