Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of performance testing strategies for our software systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies, coupled with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Define and implement performance testing strategies, standards, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance.
Test Planning: Develop performance test plans, including identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), workload models, and system usage patterns.
Execution and Analysis: Oversee the execution of performance tests, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders to improve application performance.
Tool Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and implement performance testing tools and frameworks such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or other relevant tools.
Performance Bottlenecks: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application, database, and infrastructure layers.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the QA and testing teams on performance testing methodologies and tools.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for performance test results, trends, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in software performance testing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or architect role.
Proficiency with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload).
Strong understanding of performance testing concepts like latency, throughput, scalability, and concurrency.
Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and profiling tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).
Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests into DevOps workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with scripting languages like Python, Groovy, or Shell scripting.
Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
Certification in performance testing tools or cloud platforms is a plus
