New Product Development Project for Pharmaceuticals & Consumer Business

Design & Development, Artwork Development, Transit Trials, Packaging Specification development, Stability studies, Prototype approval, Line trials, Cost negation, Packaging material delivery & Implementation, Alternate packaging option

Financial delivery

1. Strategic Project Initiatives

Business analysis, Spend analysis, Opportunity Analysis, Option generation, Portfolio analysis, Sourcing approach, Strategy creation & Implementation

- Specification optimisation

- Size rationalisation

1. Cost saving initiative for packaging materials

Value engineering in existing and new business requirement

alternate vendor development, alternate material development & change in packaging process

Innovation

To generate new ideas in packaging material of existing & new products

- New packaging material introduction

- New material processing technique

- Innovation in packing & filling line

- Introduction of Latest printing and decoration techniques

Packaging Material vendor development

To develop new / alternate vendors based on ideas generated and approved by business

- Packaging Material existing / new dosage forms

- Mould Development and amortisation

- Rate discussion with DSG

Design Re-engineering

Design and appearance uplift for Emerging(ROW) and Regulated markets (US, EU and UK)

Project Management

New export customer requirement launch support (Biologics & Other Injectable)

Packaging Procurement Operations (NPD)

1. Trial materials arrangement
2. Sourcing, Vendor Development, Selection and Performance Evaluation
3. Change control and Material code creation through DDRL and CQA
4. Cost Negotiations and finalisation for NPD
5. Shade card approval and ship to site
6. Ensure timely packaging material supply for first commercial supply
7. Hand over sourcing & procurement activities to packaging procurement team for subsequent supply
