Packaging Development Manager

You should have a minimum of 14 to 18 years of experience in the Beverage & food industry with an IIP background. As part of this role, you will support cross-functional teams by suggesting new design opportunities and studying innovations in the packaging and labeling industry. Your responsibilities will also include leading the design and development of end-to-end packaging solutions for products based on brand objectives and business briefs. In this position, you will be expected to consistently innovate in providing packaging solutions with a focus on optimizing cost and meeting business needs. You will closely work on packaging across the entire product range to identify opportunities for optimization based on evolving market and business needs. Additionally, you will lead and execute packaging initiatives with cross-functional team members, factories, and vendors. Your role will involve conducting travel tests to assess the transit performance of new packaging and establishing the machinability of packaging materials through packing line trials. You will be required to create detailed documentation on packaging material specifications for both new and existing products. Additionally, you will need to support factories by developing testing SOPs for incoming raw materials and defining acceptance rejection criteria for each packaging material. As part of this position, you will validate the technical competency of vendors in terms of machinery, quality, infrastructure, capacity, and processes. You will also provide assistance in troubleshooting activities related to packaging materials and machines. Moreover, you will offer support on export packaging and customize packaging designs for special trade channels as per their requirements.
