Job Description

Role Objective:

To design, develop, and implement functional, cost-effective, and innovative packaging solutions for home essentials that enhance consumer experience, protect products, and align with brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop
primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
for home essentials (e.g., kitchenware, storage boxes, décor items).
Decide suitable packaging formats (box, sleeve, hanging pack, blister pack, insert sheets, etc.) based on product type and retail requirements.
Collaborate with
design, sourcing, and marketing teams
to ensure packaging reflects brand identity and appeals to customers.
Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for
packaging material development, prototyping, and cost negotiations.
Conduct
quality and durability testing
(drop test, stack test, transit test, etc.) to ensure product safety during handling, shipping, and display.
Drive
sustainable packaging initiatives
by exploring recyclable and eco-friendly materials.
Optimize packaging for
cost efficiency, supply chain logistics, and retail shelf visibility.
Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, artwork approvals, and technical documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Knowledge of
packaging materials
(paperboard, plastics, corrugated, foils, flexible packaging).
Familiarity with
packaging design software
(AutoCAD, Illustrator, SolidWorks).
Strong vendor management and cost optimization skills.
Understanding of
sustainability practices
and compliance standards.
Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
