About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and related Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
  • Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.
  • Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.
  • Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
  • May act as the team lead on projects.
  • Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.
  • Gains client acceptance of the defined solution.
  • Fully comprehends client requirements and translates them into implementable solutions
  • Participates in and/or supports business development activities.
Technical Expertise Preferred:
  • Experience in OTM configurations, Logistics Management & Solution Design.
  • Expertise in OTM workflow design and development
  • Good understanding of Java, Oracle PL/SQL, XML
  • Experience in Writing & Testing Agents and Workflows
  • Experience in TL, LTL, Rail, transportation Setup.
  • Lane, Itinerary, Rate offering, Rate record, commitment setup in OTM
  • Contacts, Service provider, location setup in OTM
  • Configuration of External planning engine
  • Complete understanding OTM planning process and good understanding of planning parameters.
  • Good understanding in OTM Invoicing Process
  • Proficient at planning, strategy, risk mitigation, execution and delivery.
  • Large OTM Implementation experience with Oracle EBS/SAP interface/footprint
  • Master data setup in OTM
  • BI Reports development and enhancements and issue fixing.
  • Macro development and enhancements and issue fixing.
  • Expertise in quick understanding of OTM logs
  • Experience with client facing consulting engagements
  • Extensive experience within management consulting or consulting services.
  • Strong analytical ability, including the capacity to assess project requirements and develop effective Functional Designs to meet business requirements
  • Superior organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and to establish and manage own work schedule / weekly activity
  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple geographies.
  • Proven ability to delegate tasks and set up appropriate monitoring and control mechanisms.
  • Results driven, able to motivate diverse teams to achieve quality results.
  • Functional knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and Oracle EBS/SAP is essential.
  • Experience with planning and managing large global IT projects
  • Experience with all aspects of the system implementation including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation activities.
  • Knowledge of integration points and the order in which these must be executed.
  • Experience working with design, implementation, and support of knowledge management solutions and related technologies for collaborative information sharing.
Qualifications - External
Education:
  • College degree in a related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred
Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent oral and written communications; influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong executive presence and ability to interact management
  • Mentors team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications
  • Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required
  • Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the teams
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
