Reports To: Management / Director – Operations

Role Overview

The General Manager – Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing the complete end-to-end operations of the manufacturing site. This includes monitoring product readiness, supervising the pre-packaging and cleaning processes, coordinating dispatch activities, leading the operations and supervisor teams, and ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely workflow across all supply chain functions. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and complete ownership of site operations.

Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Operations Management

• Take full ownership of day-to-day operations at the manufacturing site.
• Ensure smooth and timely execution of processes from product readiness to final dispatch.
• Monitor production flow to avoid delays and ensure operational continuity.
• Maintain coordination between production, packaging, dispatch, inventory, and quality teams.

2. Supply Chain & Dispatch Management

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain including storage, handling, material movement, and dispatch planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of finished goods as per order requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for raw material requirements.
• Implement efficient logistics and dispatch processes to optimize cost and time.

3. Pre-Packaging, Cleaning & Process Supervision

• Oversee the pre-packaging process ensuring hygiene, accuracy, and compliance.
• Supervise cleaning activities of products prior to packaging, ensuring quality standards.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure finished goods are received in proper condition for packaging.

4. Team Leadership & Supervisory Management

• Lead, guide, and monitor supervisors and floor teams to ensure adherence to processes and productivity norms.
• Allocate tasks, set daily targets, and monitor team performance.
• Ensure adequate manpower planning and workforce discipline.
• Conduct regular briefings, training sessions, and performance evaluations for operational staff.

5. Compliance, Quality & Safety

• Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies, FSSAI guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Implement and monitor SOPs for hygiene, cleanliness, equipment handling, and workplace safety.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure finished goods quality before packaging and dispatch.

6. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

• Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Analyze daily operational data and share reports with management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain, packaging, and dispatch functions.

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing or FMCG operations
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Knowledge of food industry compliance and hygiene standards (preferred)

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food tech/ Dairy tech.
• 8–15 years of experience in operations management, preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, or similar industry.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing plant operations.

Work Conditions

• On-site role at the manufacturing facility.
• Requires close coordination with multiple departments.
• May require extended working hours during peak demand periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
