Additionally, the Chicago Tribune has consistently named us a Top Workplace for the past 12 years.As a Operations BI Analyst, you will support Medline Canada region’s supply chain by analyzing outbound and inbound transportation expense trends across sites and channels. The role focuses on optimizing freight cost, delivering performance reporting, and supporting financial accuracy through freight accruals. This position provides insights to improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness using analytical tools and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
-  Analyze outbound transportation expense trends across sites and sales channels. Identify cost optimization opportunities and support strategic freight initiatives.
-  Conduct internal freight reviews and summarize trends, anomalies, and improvement recommendations.
-  Develop and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for internal operations and carrier performance meetings.
-  Monitor service performance and ensure cost-effective execution of transportation requirements.
-  Prepare monthly freight accrual reports to support timely and accurate financial close processes.
-  Maintain and analyze transportation-related data, including revenue, shipment lines, and labor costs.
-  Create cost tracking reports for inbound freight (road and container), analyze trends, and identify savings opportunities.
-  Manage and execute ad-hoc projects or analysis as assigned by the leadership team.
 
Must Have
-  Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Finance, Business, or related field.
-  3–6 years of experience in transportation, freight analysis, or supply chain operations.
-  Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Charts), Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
-  Experience with ERP or TMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
-  Knowledge of transportation cost drivers, accrual processes, and logistics operations.
-  Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating across teams.
-  Ability to manage data accuracy and deadlines under minimal supervision.
 
Good to Have
-  Exposure to financial close and budgeting processes related to logistics.
-  Prior experience working with global or multi-site transportation networks.
