Job Summary

The Online Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing digital sales strategies to drive revenue growth across e-commerce platforms and online channels. This role oversees online sales operations, manages digital marketing collaboration, analyzes sales performance, and ensures an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Online Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement online sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Identify opportunities for new online markets, products, and customer segments.
  • Create annual and quarterly online sales plans aligned with business objectives.

2. E-Commerce Platform Management

  • Manage and optimize company presence on platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Lazada, etc.).
  • Ensure accurate product listings, pricing, content, promotions, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with IT and marketing teams to improve UI/UX and conversion rates.

3. Sales Operations & Performance

  • Track daily/weekly/monthly sales performance KPIs.
  • Conduct analysis on customer behavior, sales trends, and competitor activity.
  • Monitor order fulfillment, delivery performance, and return/refund processes.

4. Digital Campaign Coordination

  • Work with digital marketing teams on SEO/SEM, social commerce, email campaigns, and paid ads.
  • Evaluate campaign ROI and optimize for better engagement and conversion.

5. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop online sales executives or account managers.
  • Provide training on digital tools, platforms, and best practices.

6. Customer Experience & Service

  • Improve online customer journey and service quality.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints related to online orders.
  • Implement tools to enhance reviews & ratings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce or related field.
  • Proven experience (3–7 years) in online sales, e-commerce management, or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, analytics tools, and CRM systems.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with omnichannel retail.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and marketplace algorithms.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
