Job Designation- General Manager – FMCG Industry (APPLY FEMALE CANDIDATES ONLY)

Position Overview

The General Manager will oversee the overall operations, strategy, and growth of the company’s in-house functions including sales, marketing, production, supply chain, HR, and finance. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making, and a deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics. The GM will ensure smooth operations, profitability, compliance, and continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement long-term business strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify market opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance brand presence and sales.
  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

2. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations across production, sales, marketing, logistics, and administration.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely execution of projects and goals.

3. Sales & Marketing Oversight

  • Drive sales growth through effective sales planning and market expansion strategies.
  • Review marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and promotional activities.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key clients.

4. Production & Supply Chain

  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and cost-efficiency are met.
  • Optimize supply chain operations to minimize delays and costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, vendor management, and procurement activities.

5. Financial Management

  • Review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts regularly.
  • Ensure cost control, profitability, and adherence to financial policies.
  • Approve major expenses and evaluate ROI on business initiatives.

6. HR & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate teams across departments.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews, and organizational development.
  • Maintain a healthy workplace culture and ensure compliance with all labor laws.

7. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Coordinate audits and maintain proper documentation.

Required QualificationsEducation

  • MBA / Master’s in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.

Experience

  • 8–15 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in leadership/managerial roles.
  • Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing processes.

  • Financial planning and budgeting expertise.

Salary Range

  • Depends on company size and location (typically ₹6 LPA – ₹10 LPA+ in mid- to large-scale FMCG companies).

  • Full-time, in-house position

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
