Job Summary:


L3 Network Engineer


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the escalation point for all critical network-related incidents and problems.
  • Design, deploy, and manage complex LAN/WAN and data center networks.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams on network design and optimization.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.).
  • Ensure network security through proper firewall configuration, VPNs, ACLs, and other mechanisms.
  • Perform regular network performance monitoring, reporting, and capacity planning.
  • Implement change requests and upgrades in accordance with ITIL processes.
  • Document network designs, topologies, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to L1 and L2 support engineers.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers for advanced troubleshooting and escalations.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:


    • Valid CCIE Certification

      (Enterprise Infrastructure / R&S / Service Provider).
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum

      7+ years

      of hands-on experience in network engineering.
    • Deep understanding of Cisco technologies including routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower), and wireless controllers.
    • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, Multicast, etc.
    • Experience with Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, and other next-gen network technologies is a plus.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.
    • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
    • Working knowledge of automation/scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
    • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.


    Preferred Certifications:


    • Cisco CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure, R&S, or Service Provider)
    • CCNP (if CCIE is recently acquired)
    • ITIL Foundation (nice to have)
    • Cloud or Security certifications (AWS, Azure, Palo Alto, etc.)
