Network Specialist

As a skilled and certified Network Expert, you will be responsible for managing large business network systems by designing, setting up, securing, and maintaining high-performance networks across different locations such as LAN, WAN, wireless, and hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities: - Create robust and secure network designs for office and remote environments. - Set up advanced routing and switching systems. - Utilize VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls for network security. - Install and configure routers, switches, and wireless devices. - Implement routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and RIP. - Configure IP address systems like NAT and PAT. - Monitor network speed and troubleshoot slow areas. - Enhance traffic flow using QoS and traffic shaping techniques. - Conduct regular checks, updates, and system reviews. - Lead network upgrades and system migrations to ensure minimal downtime. - Collaborate with security teams to enforce safety rules using tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs. - Design and manage wireless networks, including site surveys and planning for strong wireless coverage. - Keep network diagrams and records updated and prepare reports on performance, problems, and system health. Required Skills & Experience: - 7+ years of experience in enterprise network roles. - Hands-on experience with devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Fortinet. - Strong understanding of networking basics including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, STP, etc. - Deep knowledge of Routing (OSPF, BGP), Switching (VLANs), NAT, and VPNs. - Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, or PRTG. - Basic scripting or automation skills, with preference for Python or Ansible. Certifications: Required: - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - CompTIA Network+ Preferred: - Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) - Juniper JNCIP - CWNP for wireless skills - ITIL Foundation Education: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer, or Network Engineering.
