Network Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

You'll join us as a DevOps and AWS infrastructure specialist operating in high-stakes environments where 99.9% uptime is the baseline expectation. Your work will span a portfolio of acquired products—each with unique characteristics—as you migrate them into a unified, scalable AWS ecosystem and implement monitoring and automation that proactively minimizes incidents.Unlike most companies that ask you to maintain a single stack, we need you to consolidate and optimize multiple stacks without introducing disruption. Where others keep databases isolated, we take a different approach: strategic consolidation to maximize cost efficiency and management simplicity across our portfolio. This position isn't suited for someone content to maintain the status quo; it's designed for someone who encounters inconsistent, fragmented infrastructure and immediately envisions how to improve it.Your scope will include infrastructure migrations, AI-driven automation, performance tuning, database migration, and cost optimization. You'll diagnose and resolve existing issues, plan and execute cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and use AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of your workload. What You Will Be Doing

• Planning and executing complex infrastructure transformations, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift migrations
• Designing and implementing comprehensive monitoring strategies and building automations for monitoring, software deployments, and operational workflows
• Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident response, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization

Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by implementing robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  

Basic Requirements

• Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
• Experience scripting with Python and Bash for day-to-day administration operations
• Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Linux systems administration expertise

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
