Network Engineer, Trilogy (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

This position isn't suited for someone content with maintaining existing infrastructure; it's designed for someone who encounters inconsistent, fragmented systems and immediately envisions a superior architecture.Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations through AI-powered automation, performance optimization, database migration, and cost management. This includes identifying and resolving current issues, planning and executing smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-powered workflows to automate significant portions of operational work. What You Will Be Doing

• Planning and executing sophisticated infrastructure changes, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift migrations
• Designing and deploying monitoring frameworks and creating automations for monitoring, software deployments, and operational processes
• Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident response, database migrations, database configurations, and cost optimization

Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by deploying robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  

Basic Requirements

• Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - other cloud experience alone won't cut it)
• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript for building automation and tooling
• Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Advanced Docker/Kubernetes skills
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Linux systems administration expertise

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
