About this opportunity:
We invite you to join us at Ericsson as an IT Infrastructure Platform Architect. In this critical role, you will ensure a high level of IT service delivery, meeting the expectations of our various stakeholders and end users. You'll take charge of the technical and process delivery of services across the IT Infrastructure Operations India portfolio. As a key figure within our Digital Infrastructure Operations team, you'll have the authority to guide, coordinate, and control essential processes to secure optimal service restoration and diminish risk and business impact.
What you will do:
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing the Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure for large-scale data centers.
- Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, architecture, and operational procedures.
- Investigate and diagnose problems where applicable, identify short-term work-around solutions.
- Act as network specialist and identify improvements in existing deployed solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend WAN technologies, vendors, and products based on business needs and technological advances.
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VXLAN-based solutions in the data center.
- Work closely with network engineers, cloud architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the WAN design aligns with organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot Network-related issues and provide timely resolutions to network outages, performance degradation, or misconfigurations.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for networking and data security.
The skills you bring:
- A primary degree in Engineering, IT or Telecommunications
- 8+ Years of experience in designing and implementing WAN solutions, particularly for data centers and enterprise networks.
- Proven experience in a Solution Architect role, with a track record of leading complex network design projects.
- Candidate should have relevant technical experience on Juniper.
- Extensive knowledge of WAN technologies, including MPLS, IP-Routing(BGP), VX-LAN, WAN, Switching etc
- Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) for WAN configuration management.
- Candidates having experience with Juniper DC-LAN and virtualization environments will have an added advantage.
- Provide support for network security practices and implement best practices for routing.
- The candidate will need to be prepared to be flexible in approach to work content and responsibilities, along with out of hours and on-call support.
- Candidate Should be ready for 24x7 role.
