SCOPE OF POSITION:

Construction Specialties is looking for a highly motivated Network Engineer to join the team. The Network Engineer will be part of the Network team that is responsible for managing Construction Specialties rapidly growing global network. The candidate will have hands-on access to all network devices across the enterprise and will work closely with engineering groups within the IT organization to provide advanced network engineering and consultation in the design, development and implementation of network services.

Key Responsible Areas:

• Being a member of the Network Operations Team, the candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network providing these services.
• It's more important that the person should have the aptitude and demonstrable skills needed to fulfill this role whilst experienced members of the team will provide assistance, guidance, and developing required skills and confidence.
• The ideal candidate must interact frequently with multiple technical teams to provide service and address any incidents to resolve connectivity issues.
• Within this role is to work to be proactive by reviewing KPIs, monitoring utilities, and bench marking expected performance.
• The suitable candidate should be able to communicate ideas and information to people from a non-technical background.
• Work closely with the Design and Engineering teams and as such need to have a good well-rounded understanding of networks and systems.
• Importantly, Network Operations Engineers must develop a solid understanding of our internal operational standards and processes.
• Must be keen to learn, able to use their experience and initiative to tackle a broad range of problems and contribute to the growing success of the IT organization.
• Once settled into the role, the position may be asked to join our on-call rotation providing 24x7 support for our key services as well as covering both planned and unplanned out of hours work as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Experience :

• 3-5 years relevant working experience as a network engineer in an Enterprise environment.
• CCNA/CCNP or similar advanced networking certifications.
• Strong knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco/Meraki routing, switching, and wireless technologies including BGP, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, Qos, 802.1x and Radius
• Experience with firewalls, preferably Fortinet and Meraki (policy- based routing, site-to-site VPN) highly preferred.
• Experience with designing, implementing, and managing network solutions within Azure cloud platforms is desired.
• Knowledge of VoIP SaaS platforms (Ring Central).
• Knowledge in implementing, maintaining, and securing operational technology (OT) systems, ensuring reliable communication between industrial control systems (ICS), IoT devices, and enterprise networks
• Knowledge of basic network security including access-list, port-security, and basic firewalls.
• Able to analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery. - Clear communicator (written and verbal).
• Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload.
• Self-motivated and Proactive/ should be a go-getter.
• Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision.
• Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge and help others develop.
• Able to perform ongoing network maintenance, upgrades and enhancements to optimize network performance, availability, stability and security

Mandatory Technical Skills :

• 
  Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki.
• Experience in managing all Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IP Telephony, WAPs, and Network Management Solutions across the enterprise (LAN/WAN)
