Qualification Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science or a related field.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

· Strong hands-on knowledge on routers, Switches, Firewalls and security products · Hands-on VMWARE NSX Management with Admin (Technical) Skills · Knowledge of overall VMware NSX, VMWARE Architecture, Performance Tunning & High Availability.

Good-to-Have · Knowledge of Datacenter Network, Datacenter Security, Windows, Linux, Database, Bank Domain, Servers, & Storage · Good Knowledge on VMware NSX & Red Hat OpenShift/any Container platform will be added advantage. · Readiness to work in 24x7 environment

SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate and Cisco firewalls

2 Manage and optimize F5 load balancers, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies and configuration

3 Handle Remote Access VPN (RA VPN) solutions and provide secure connectivity for users

4 Work with Cisco ACI for policy-driven data center network operations

5 Monitor, analyze, and resolve network performance issues

6 Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution

7 Maintain up-to-date documentation of network/security configurations and processes

8 Responsible for the design, standup, and ongoing implementations of virtual networking, segmentation, load balancing using NSX ALB and other NSX-T capabilities across VMware platform.

9 Designing and building secure, reliable and scalable NSX-T virtual networks across VMware environments, connectivity and integrations with CaaS (Openshift) and DR setup.

10 Implementation of VMware security controls and rules for segmentation.

11 Implement and configure NSX-T

12 Design additional network tenants based on requirements

13 Adjust the NSX overlay design (VxLAN objects) to take into consideration the cloud zone schema

14 Firewall security policy migration (physical FWs to NSX)

15 Networking background in Route/Switch, Firewall, Load-Balancing, BGP, VXLAN

16 NSX Routing design and sizing guidance

17 Expertise in VMware NSX-T running in production environment

18 VMware NSX firewall expertise and using NSX for segmentation

19 Hands-on experience installing, configuring, managing, maintaining VMware NSX-T, NSX Managers,

20 Cross vCenter NSX-V and NSX-T design and deployment & long distance vMotion

21 Hybrid Cloud Connectivity (HCX)

22 NSX automation tools vRA

23 Expertise in network monitoring tool- vRNI

24 Providing security and network support for physical networking and firewall services.

25 Ensuring network reliability and availability through well-planned and implemented solutions

26 Delivering network and security infrastructures

27 Developing, maintaining, and supporting networks in NSX/NSX-T

28 Implementing networking and VXLAN technologies

29 Monitoring the automation of network deployment and configuration, along with the integration of infrastructure (computer/storage) automation

30 Configuring and monitoring network security layers

31 Monitoring integration with other software-defined networking technologies

32 Improving network manageability and scalability

33 Supporting the operations and maintenance of the VMware virtual infrastructure

34 Maintaining VMware vROps and reporting for confirmation, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.

35 Improving customized outlines using NSX, vRA, and vRO to automate and simplify tasks

36 Backing up virtual machines and supporting virtual machine infrastructure.

SN Requirement and skills

1 Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science or a related field.

2 Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls

3 Proficiency in F5 LTM, GTM, and WAF configuration and troubleshooting.

4 Experience with Remote Access VPN (RA VPN) solutions.

5 Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing/switching, and network security concepts.

6 Experience in Cisco ACI fabric operations, policy creation, and troubleshooting.

7 Familiarity with packet capture tools and analyzing network traffic.

8 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T and Datacenter Network

9 Understand Application & Business Requirements

10 Network Industry Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) Preferred

11 Professional Certification VMware NSX-T Data Center Mandatory

12 VMware datacenter virtualization certification

13 Strong hands-on knowledge on Vmware NSX-T and Datacenter network technologies and tools

14 Mandatory skills required for datacenter security technology

15 Hardening & System Security management (VA etc.)

16 Create and maintain necessary documentation - Reporting and checklists

17 Relevant experience on a high-volume enterprise help desk or similar support role.

18 Exposure to virtualization and cloud platforms.

21 Asset / CMDB Management

22 Disaster Recovery (DR) - Planning, Implementation, Testing and Execution

23 Collaboration with developers, system administrators and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance

24 Exposure to performance tuning of OS, Application and Databases.

25 Installation of operating system and system updates, patches, version upgrades per vendor recommendations.

26 RHCE/Windows certified candidates will be given preference.

27 Demonstrable experience responding to end user helpdesk tickets with excellent customer service.

28 Understand how to follow good ITIL service management practices.

29 Have working knowledge of security methodologies in an enterprise infrastructure

30 Strong customer-service competencies, oral and written communication, technical documentation, time-management, and project management skills

31 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

32 Excellent change impact analysis skills for break-fixes, upgrades, and patches

33 Maintain systems according to established requirements through testing, implementation, and monitoring through the complete lifecycle of the product or solution

34 Be able to work in a dynamic, highly demanding, and highly visible team while keeping a professional attitude and composure

35 Be able to speak and relay information intelligently to both highly technical administrators and semi-technical personnel from various teams, customers, vendors, and other organizations
