Job Description

Position Summary

The Network Administrator is responsible for handling advanced level support of Networking

requests in a professional and timely manner. Network Administrator is a professional

responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of an organization's

computer networks.


Education and Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in core network administration.

• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.

• Expert knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, UDP,

IPv4, 802.11, QoS and routing.

• Good Working knowledge of security aspects of networking interface that includes

WPAx-personal and WPAx-Enterprise authentication protocols.

• Proven Experience with network hardware and infrastructure such as routers, hubs,

servers, VPNs, and switches for Local LANs, WANs and Wireless LANs

• Configuring and maintaining various network hardware and software such as routers,

switches servers and firewalls to ensure network security and efficiency.

• Conducting maintenance of network and implementing network upgrade tasks such

as installing new hardware or software, upgrading existing devices, or making changes

to network configurations including security configurations.


Requirements:

• Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network

devices. Ensure network infrastructure is optimized, stable, and aligned with

organizational standards and security protocols.

• Continuously monitor network performance using monitoring tools, identifying

bottlenecks, failures, or anomalies. Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues,

outages, and performance degradation to ensure minimal downtime.

• Implement and manage network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, access

controls, and threat detection tools. Regularly review logs, patch vulnerabilities, and

ensure compliance with security best practices.

• Plan and execute network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and scalability initiatives.

Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure expansion, new site

setups, and technology modernization projects.

• Maintain network-related backup systems and ensure accurate recovery procedures.

Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to safeguard critical

data and network availability.

• Analyze traffic patterns and network utilization to fine-tune configurations and

improve efficiency. Recommend improvements to improve speed, reliability, and

overall network performance.
