Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales & Marketing Strategy


 Responsible for collaborating with various functional heads and driving the service offerings catalogue of the organization.

 Responsible for building a portfolio of best in class practices (business cases) as well as client testimonials.

 Identify and develop various avenues/ mediums/ forums for promoting the organization and the service / product offering

 Ensure quality solutions are provided and value is generated from all RFQ/RFP activities. Develop and maintain strong bonds with overseas partners to foster strong business relationships (up sell /cross sell)

 Responsible for Customer Relationship Management and New Customer Acquisition


2. Financial Targets


 Responsible for achievement of Top Line revenue targets for Freight Forwarding & ILS Services

 Responsible for achievement of GP and Volume targets


3. Key Account Management


 Responsible for managing identified key accounts - Lead/ guide/ direct the KAM team – vertical focus/ work with other functional heads - cross BU engagement, business implementation and reviews

 Responsible for bringing in vertical focus and work with BU Heads to bring in cross BU Engagement

 Responsible for timely reviews with various Business Heads with regards to Key


4. Sales Analytics and MIS Management


 Responsible for design, development, maintenance and circulation of accurate sales reports & MIS analysis and it’s effective circulation

 Provide insights on sales performance region wise, KPI Setting and monitor sales productivity  Responsible for design and implementation of Sales Incentive plan for the team

 Responsible for timely response to RFQ, Tenders etc… along with Sales team

 Manage, review and execute any large Key Accounts SOP, solution designing & implementation  Ensure all team members make active use of the CRM tools


6. Team Development

 Drive the regional team to ensure a strong brand orientation and sales consciousness.

 Develop sales capability by ensuring up skilling and cross skilling of sales personnel by identifying and executive various training and developmental interventions

 Identify attract and deploy the right talent from competition based on business requirement and budgets allocated

 Review the sales team performance based on the productivity and take corrective action to maximize sales productivity


Qualifications:  Graduate, PG/MBA Preferable,

 The role assumes a strong understanding of freight forwarding, proven sales expertise
